Does anyone know how to remove the moldings on the door and side-end of a civic?

If you dont care about the mouldings you can just pry them off. But if you want to re-use them then you need to take off the door pannel and interior rear 1/4 plastic to access them. Then you need plyers or channel locks to press in the tabs on all of the clips (a lot) to release the mouldings from the door.

to remove the molding on the door..there is a couple ways of doing so..
1) remove the door panel and get to the clip that hold the molding and just squeeze on the clip while pulling back on the molding.. 2) get 2 metal bondo scraper and slide on on the top and one on the bottom of the molding and push them together against the clip that hold the molding and they should pop out.. this same method goes for the 1/4 panel molding too.. also don't forget that the molding on the door have a nut that hod it from behind the door at the very end of the molding. |
