Default Side Marker Placement

Does anyone have the correct location for the CTR Side Markers. Have some and would like to install them in the correct location. If anyone has CTR fenders, could you please measure the cut-outs.
Any information would be helpful.
Thanks.

1. Make a line from the front of the sideskirts up to the top of the fender.
2. Make a line that extends from the top center of the wheel well.
3. Where those 2 lines intersect is where the middle of you sidemarker should be.
4. Cover the arear where the sidemarker is going to go with clear tape before you do any cutting to prevent paint chippage. Drill a starter hole carefully on the dot.
5. Use a metal nibbler found at radio shack for 10 bux to do the cutout. It takes a while, but it will turnout clean.
6. *Tips*
-Put some touch up paint if you have some laying around the edges of the bare metal.
-After you test fit the sidemarker and it pops in, put some plummer's putty around the crack to keep all the water out
-Remember you can always take some metal off, but you can't add it so test fitting the piece often is in your best interest.

Here's a pic of when I did mine:

Sweet write up!! Seems like a fairly inexpensive mod! How difficult is the wiring? Also, do you recall what size hole you originally drilled?

you dont drill, you cut. wiring is easy if you want it to just go on when you signal, tap the green and black wire from the corner lights.

What about the starter hole?? How would you cut that out?

First and foremost use masking tape and tape off the area that you will be drilling and cutting. Minimizes the paint from chipping etc. Also makes it easier to draw out the outline of what you want to cut.

start w/ a pilot hole. use one of those cone-shaped-stepped reaming drill bit then you can get the hole bigger.

Then follow the rest of the write up or if you're really good use a dremel tool but be very very careful...one slip and that cutting wheel is going to do some travelling
