SI will not turn over: VERY SPECIFIC: HELP
Ok history on car: 2000 B16 SI, wire tuck done.
Fuel line upgraded to -6an, inline fuel filter, AEM fuel rail, stock injectors.
Battery relocated in trunk. Fuse box under dash, the basics. Car drove for 3 weeks after wire tuck was complete. Took wire harness out of the car to wrap it in loom. Ended up selling the car due to loss of job, didn't have time for a project car anymore.
Issue: Car does not turn over. Starter gets click, has 12.5 to it when tested. Battery can't be the issue cause it was also attempted with a jump start. Alt. was bench tested and in perfect working order. Fuel pump is turning on.
The car used to actually sound like it was going to turn over, however now all you get is a "click" "click" "click" sound when you turn the key.
Could the engine/tranny not be grounded enough? What else should I check here? I am trying to help out the guy who bought the car cause I live with him. It's frustrating cause when I owned the car it ran fine and started up with no issues whatsoever.
Ideas, where to go from this? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: SI will not turn over: VERY SPECIFIC: HELP
Well if you look at the wiring of the harness when its out of the car its all good. So what would be another idea?
Someone said the starter could now be done due to trying to start it so many times in such a short period of time. Is that possible?

Re: SI will not turn over: VERY SPECIFIC: HELP
did you jump it from the big starter terminal to the little one? if it turned over then its not a ground issue. have always done the motor grounds with 2 #4 wires from the motor/tranny to the chassis using external tooth lock washers at all 4 bolts. haven't ever had a problem.
sorry pic is big digs into the chassis metal and the terminal metal making the continuity very good.

Have you tried tapping the starter whilst turning the key? It sounds like the starter is going bad, or has gone bad. Perhaps it was on its last leg while you had it.

Re: SI will not turn over: VERY SPECIFIC: HELP
Ok guys heres where we are at! I appreciate all the advice and responses BTW, PLEASE keep them coming!
Ok, so starter was bad, replaced the starter and checked the entire wire harness for any areas where a SHORT could be coming from.
Harness plugged back in and as a result popping the 15amp Fuse in the Fuse box that originally came located in the engine bay, the 15amp that controls the Injectors and Fuel Pump. My buddy said (without looking at the harness in person, just over the phone) that he thinks its a SHORT in the yellow/black wires somewhere for the injectors however they look perfectly fine. Any other ideas or advice on where to check and look next? Keeps blowing that 15amp fuse.... frustrating!
