SI radio help!!!
i just installed an SI radio in my EG, everything works fine except that the illumination doesn't work when i turn on the parking lights, there's the main plug (20 pin) that i used and and another slot which i dont know what it's for, could that be the problem?
i've searched everywhere and cant find any good info on this.

Re: SI radio help!!!
The other connector on the back of the radio is for connecting
ONE of the following
A. Honda cassette player
B. Honda 6-disc in-dash cd changer
C. Honda trunk 6 cd changer
If your EG is 99+ the dash radio harness is the same.. If yours is 98 and older then you will need to buy a Metra 70-1720 & Metra 70-1721 harnesses and splice them together. The only difference between a 99-00 Si radio and any other 99-00 Civic radio is the Si radio has amber illumination and the others are white illumination.

Re: SI radio help!!!
There should be a red/black wire, thats ur illumination wire add 12volts on the stereo side of the harness, if it lights up then for reason ur loosing power somewhere in between. It should also be re/black from the harness of ur car. Use a 12volt meter or a probe to see if ur getting power from that wire when u turn on your parking lights.

Re: SI radio help!!!
thanks for the help.. the problem was that the illumination wire wasn't getting power so i just connected it to direct power (red cable) and now it works, but i disconnected the dimmer wire so when i turn my lights on it stays bright.
