I have one in my '98 but I can't find a photo. It won't fit in the dash. You'll have to fit it above the cupholders and it will stick out a bit, but you can make it seem not as noticeable.

Re: Si Radio (NOFX)
So the 99-00 Si radio does not fit flush in the upper 96-98 dash? Are there any OE Honda single-DIN CD players that fit the upper 96-98 dash opening? Thanks!

Re: Si Radio (JDMbiAtcH)
Damn, thanks for the confirmation. I guess down by the cup holders isn't bad, but then what would fit in the original radio DIN (besides the stock radio, obviously)? I guess the problem is that stupid angled side.

No, it won't. There is no other Honda single DIN radio or CD player that I've seen that fits perfectly in the '96-'98 radio spot. That's because of the weird angle along the driver's side of the radio.
I have the block off plate in my stock radio location.
I currently have an Si radio in the lower slot, but I don't know where the photos went.

Re: Si Radio (NOFX)
Cool, thanks for the pic! So my next questions...
Can I put the 99-00 Si radio in the 96-98 factory radio location if I use this...
http://www.crutchfield.com/App...p=861
And also, will the 99-00 Si radio harness plug into the 96-98 dash harness? Sorry if this has been covere but I couldn't find a definite answer via search. Thanks!

The Si radio is bigger than th '96-'98 radio. The '96-'98 radio is a single DIN size. I think the '99-'00 Si radio is something like a 1.25 DIN or something.
It won't even fit int he lower DIN correctly, but it looks better there. If you sit it in the upper DIN slot, it will stick out and look bad.

i love the block off plate makes it look clean. for a while i had the lower din in there until i got my block off plate.
but like what most other people said, the lower din could be the best bet, i currently have my radio there now.

Awesome, thanks for the heads up, off to Ebay!

It's out of my friend's EK3 (real one - not an EJ6).

Re: Si Radio (NOFX)
Ugh that really annoys me that there is no OE, direct fit, single-DIN player that fits in that damn angled spot.
So then a 94+ Integra player will fit the stock radio location, but will still look bootleg without using the adpater trim piece. I'm about to just get some aftermarket HU, although I would much prefer an OE HU.

I'm sure there is something you could make fit. Find out what other OEM Honda radios are single DIN.
Worse comes to worst, you'll have to either have an empty corner or you'll need to modify a CD player install kit (like shown above) to make it perfect.
I know a lot of people prefer better sound quality by using an expensive aftermarket unit, but I prefer the stock look plus I'm not really interested in aftermarket sound systems or having my car broken into for my aftermarket sound system.

Amen, that's why I'm trying so hard to get an OE HU to fit perfectly in that GD angled slot. Looks like the best bet will be an Integra radio with that lame trim piece.

That's just the block off. It's a plug. You can replace it with any button and it will work as long as you have working A/C components.
The previous owner of my car overcharged the system and the shaft on the compressor snapped. So now it juts spins free. So until I get my '97 EX that's sitting in Spokane, it won't be working. I think I actually have the A/C button in there now... I wonder where the block off is..?

OK, so to be perfectly clear for my own scatter-brained purposes, a 94-01 OE Integra single-DIN CD player will both fit in the stock 96-98 radio area as well as plug right in to the stock 96-98 harness?
Just want to be entirely sure before I "Buy It Now."
