Default Si jerking side to side.

My 2000 Si is jerks from side to side when im on the freeway when ever im doing over 70 on the freeway. I just got in aligned and I thought that would fix it but it is still doing it. What other things could it be, and how can I diagnosis it. My friend put some GSR springs on my car, could that be the problem?

It doesnt shake, it like moves like if strong winds where throwing it side to side. Should I take it back to Big-O (the place I got my alignment) and tell them that the alignment didnt fix it?

My car does the same exact thing, I know my tires are ballenced tho, I do it every few months when I get some time at the shop. Ive checked the normal things on mine Upper/Lower ball joints, tie rod everything seems tight.

i had a similar problem when my wheels were unbalanced. or it could also be a tie rod, jack your car up and if u notice play in the wheel from trying to turn it by hand thats a good indicator.

So could it be the springs?

have u checked your rack and pinion yet? if thats not it then it could b your tie rods are completely shot. check your tie rod bellow boots and your tie rod ends.

turn the steering wheel left to right and see the degrees it takes to move the wheel. when i mean move the wheel it means when the rim just barely wiggles. if theres more if ur steering wheel moves about 5~10 degrees before the wheels move then its ur rack and pinion. if the wheel moves from 5~1 degrees then its ur tie rods

well if ur tires are really off then u would feel a vibration in the steering wheel when ur going about...40~and up. ussually u feel shimmy when the car has something slitghtly loose or something has some slack on the steering system
