SI intake for an EG with a b18c?????
I have a 94 eg sedan with a jdm b18c in it and i've been usin my old ass d-series short ram for EVER and think its about time to change https://honda-tech.com/forums/images...s/emsmilep.gif . I want the J's racing style intake and I found one on dragracing.com , but they dont make one for the GSR but they did have one for the Si and wondering if this would fit my set up? Any feedback would be great. Thanks! https://honda-tech.com/forums/images/smilies/emthup.gif
** i will also be getting a Skunk2 intake mani soon, would that make a difference for fitment? |

Re: SI intake for an EG with a b18c????? (Chris M)
not perfectly sure but im sure if anything u may just need the bigger rubber that connects to the tb... cuz the 1.8 tb may have a bigger bore im sure it would work..

Re: SI intake for an EG with a b18c????? (pane93civhb)
Yeah, im not really concerned with the fitment on the throttle body bc ive seen adapters for those but I just want to make sure that it will sit just right and have no weird bends or anything....Its already hard enough for me to spend $70 on an intake but i just really want a J's/J's style and it would suck to spend that much and it not fit

Re: SI intake for an EG with a b18c????? (Chris M)
or maybe an easier question.....does anyone know where else that i can get a j's style intake for a gsr engine?
|
Re: SI intake for an EG with a b18c????? (Chris M)
I have a B18 AEM CAI on my d16. It sits fine and everything, all I needed was a bigger adapter for the TB. I guess we are talking about two different brands, but just thought I would add my .02

Re: SI intake for an EG with a b18c????? (green00EX)
an aem gsr intake DOES NOT fit in an eg w/ gsr swap. Tried it don't fit. I heard the ls does fit and the 92-95 civic aem cai fits.
hope this helps though they are not j's |
Re: SI intake for an EG with a b18c????? (pane93civhb)
yes it does fit. my friend has the same setup on his EJ. a 99-00 civic SI CAI intake will fit the gsr engine in the EG

Re: SI intake for an EG with a b18c????? (screech)
just wanted to leave an update. i purchased the j's style for the si like recomended, it fits OK. It was a PITA to fit on the throttle body (and it came kinda loose after driving https://honda-tech.com/forums/images/smilies/emsad.gif ). The fat part of the intake was hard to fit in the gap bc it was hitting the distributor. Hopefully when i install my skunk2 mani it will fit better. Even though the install sucked, it still looks bad ass https://honda-tech.com/forums/images/smilies/emthup.gif
*update i'm workin on gettin some pics...my digi cam kinda sucks so i might have to wait until its daytime to take a pic... I love my whale penis! https://honda-tech.com/forums/images...es/emsmile.gif |
