the bulbs have little orange condoms on them, if you remove them.. they will just be white. but the other model's have blue condoms on.. i dont know the bulb number, but theres a thread with it around here somewhere.. and your cluster has white bulbs.. but the actual faces have the amber in them.

No, that's not how it works on Si clusters. They actually have a film over the numbers/instruments that needs to be removed. I know there's a How-To as I've seen it. The thing with changing the color on an Si cluster is that it will make it irreversible. I'll post back if I find the How-To on changing the Si cluster light color, but basically you open it all up and remove the colored film/stuff, and add in new bulbs painted to whatever you want. Or go all-out and do an LED conversion.

No, you can change it, it just involved more than removing condoms from bulbs. Si clusters has films between the bulb and the lettering BEHIND the gauges themselves, so you have to pull the whole cluster apart to get to it and remove it, then add in the bulbs in whatever color you want.

No problem, the How-To was actually on making it all LED lighting, I'm pretty certain I saw it here on H-T.

Edit: I don't know about the CC, but I'd like to find out myself since one of my CC bulbs went out.

Yah, from what I recall the back of the gauge faces themselves has orange film on it. I will keep trying to find the how-to.

dont mean to hi-jack your thread, but if youre gonna change the climate control bulbs (take off the amber covers/condoms) then can i have them?

i actually want my lights the amber color & dont want to have to buy all new bulbs.
