si gauge cluster question
i know this is a bad dpost but i was wondering what color condoms come on the si gauge cluster bulbs cause i converted my climate controls to amber, and i want to do the cluster, which is an ex cluster in my hatch. I ordered si bulbs and they ghave blue covers they are also the same parts number as the ex ones. So I am guessing it's in the housing that makes it amber not in the bulb like the climate controls.
I would just like to know if they have blue or the orange covers on them. Thank you.
Jesse

Re: si gauge cluster question (misledyouth)
the guage cluster bulbs are white, the amber comes from the color layer on the gauge face themselves.
If you want to make an ex cluster amber, I would think will need to put some really bright orange bulbs in there, but I havent tried it, so I can't say for sure.
The bulbs that backlight the cluster are about 3 times as big as those in the climate control, so it would be tought to make the gelcaps fit, and if you do they will be stretched to the point where they shine more white then amber.
