it clicks around with the odometer
as long as maint. is kept up to date there is no need for it

yup
and also green is the neutral color, its when its yellow or red that you have to worry about... usually it means you need some maintenance

If its green then you reset it. It should turn red in about 3-5k miles.

you did reset it, thats why its green (its just a sticker, it doesnt turn on or off)
Its only connected to the odometer to remind dumb people to have their oil changed.

Why do people think this is a big deal...
19t, I think youre confused

its a million times less complicated than you think it is...
How many miles has it been since your last oil change? When was the last time ANY maintenance done on the car?

Now, a big tip:
forget you even have that little colored wheel in the cluster and keep track on your own

Holy moly. Lol.

Your question is simple and has already been answered. The light isnt a big deal. All you did was reset it so its Nuetral now. As if you just got maintanance done. Green = Good Orange = Not so bad Red = Bad. Bad being bad for you you haven't done maintanance to your car recently. The light is not a big deal at all.

All it means is that the "service Reminder Light" (which is what that thing is) has been reset. THAT IS ALL. It is just a litle rotating thing that is run off the odometer. It does nnot have any mechanical or electrical input from ANYTHING else in your car.

Seriously man, if you have to hae a little green button remind you that you need your oil changed......

And yes, its totally broken. I'll give you $150 for the cluster.
