Default SI cd player question.

I just picked up a 99 SI cd player for my 96 cx hatch. I have power to it and when I tried to put a cd in, it only went in about half way and then spit it back out. Why is it doing this? The radio code was already entered so it was unlocked. I don't have a clue why it is doing that. Can someone please help me out?

Thanks

Scott

it's jamming man, open it up, and see if anything is physically blocking the mechanism from moving freely, like a broken CD inside there, or some crap a kid put in it, you'd be surprised sometimes. Maybe it just needs some grease on the sliders, or a belt came off of it's motor.

I opened it up and there was nothing jammed in there. If there were a belt that had come off where would I have to look to see? Thanks for the reply.
