Default Shudder While Braking

when i apply the brakes with medium force or more, the brakes shudder, i can especially feel it in the steering wheel and brake pedal. are my brake rotors warped? is there something else it could be? do slotted/cross drilled rotors significantly reduce warpage?

thanks.

the car is a 93 civic si hatch.

Sounds like warped rotors. Cross drilled/slotted rotors are more likely to become warped than blanks.

Yup your rotors are warped. take a trip down to autozone and get a set of there rotors ( they are 1/2 the price of brembo blanks and have a warranty ) and go find some hawk pads and you should be good to roll
