Should I trade sedan for this coupe?
Ok here is the deal. The first Honda I ever had was a coupe and it was my pride and joy. I loved the thing to death and spent all of my hard earned money on it, only to have it totaled a couple weeks before my high school graduation (last may).
Now, a year later this is where im at. Project 4dr:
(the engine bay is MUCH cleaner in person)
The pics are kinda crappy, they were taken with a disposable camera and then scanned.
Here are the specs of the car:
94 civic ex with rear disc/abs 155k miles
JDM b18c-gsr - 50kmiles
pr3 ecu reprogrammed to skunk2 specs
dc sport 4-1 header with 2.5" collector
skunk2 intake manifold
short ram intake
ngk platinum plugs, ngk blue wires
new dist cap & rotor, new tps, new IACV, bypassed FITV
carsound high-flow cat
apexi n1 exhaust piping with magnaflow oval muffler painted black
ground control coilovers
14" steelies with integra hubs wrapped in falken azenis
carpet stripped, trunk trunk gutted
I think thats it. So yeah as you can tell all of the nice stuff is under the hood. Its basically just a really nice sleeper.
sohcvtec1995 offered to trade shells:
(see the similarity of his coupe and my coupe...so nice )
more pics of it are here https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1152740
He offered to trade shells, but I don't really feel like swapping an engine for the 3rd time in a year. This is my only source of transportation and I live 30min away from everything so this is my question. Should I offer to just do a straight up even trade? Like his motor and everything. He has a 14b turbo, dsm injectors, dsm side mount, dsm bov, afc hack, boost controller, runnin 7psi on the stock z6. As far as I know everything is mechanically sound. So do you think I should do an even trade or just try to find a way to swap my engine into the coupe quickly?
cliffnotes:
sohcvtec has a very nice looking coupe with a turbo'd sohc
i have a super sleeper b18c 4dr that needs to be painted
should we trade just shells or the WHOLE thing? (b18c coupe or sohc turbo coupe)
Sorry if this post is really long and drawn out. Please leave comments. Thanks
here is a pic of my old coupe:

pics were fixed....i agree with the doing your own work thing to, but Jesse(sohcvtec) has a good rep here on honda-tech and lives in the same part of town as i do, so im sure that if for some reason i ran into some mechanical issues with his car that he would help me diagnose them and I would do the same for him. As far as I know though, my car is in excellent mechanical condition and after reading posts about his set up, it seems to be running just right as well.

Re: (Chris M)
so far he hasnt even said if he'd trade the whole car or not, but it was just a thought running through my head. so far all he said to me was he'd be interested in an even trade of the shell

Re: Should I trade sedan for this coupe? (XpLiZiT)
the $$ to hp ratio of a turbo'd or a B-swap are like apples and oranges..
Boost the D (HMT style) for <$1100
Swap to B or any other letter your heart desires for alot more.. then.. you're stuck w/ NA until you save up to boost the B.. and the turboD can still give the TurboB a run for its money..

Well, you make it seem as if the exterior of the Ferio is weak, so in that case I would take the coupe. If the sedan was in good outside condition I would keep the sedan.

Re: (The-Beast)
so when all of you guys say coupe, are you saying to take the coupe and put my b18 in it, or take the coupe and keep his sohc turbo in it?
