It covers the injector wiring... since the aem fuel rail i got doesnt have screws to hold it down, i was wondering if i could just take it off or would it be better to keep it on?
Would there be any damage if I didnt leave it on?

No, you don't need it. Just make sure to label what goes to what, and wrap the wire with electrical tape to make it look pretty.
