Hey man..did you get your hatch back yet?? Id personallly go with the y8. I think that the D15 tranny could have a LSD, but other than that, they're the same.

i'd check out the z6. I may be swapping my y8 out for a z6 head. The y8 has higher compression, but the z6 flows way better. If you are getting a turbo then you don't want super high compression anyways.

Yeah, the wiring is much easier. Go for the y8

If you have an EK the newer D15B with 3 stage vtec would be cool and a fairly straight forward swap. Most people who have D15 swaps have the earlier version with single stage vtec.

i have a ek... prices ive found for a JDM d15 is around 800 shipped with SI tranny... d16z6 is 400 with P&P and 3 angle valve... and d16y8 for 800 picked up... which one would u pick?
how hard would it be to swap the z6 or the JDM d15 into my ek??? i may change over to OBD 1...
