Should I be able to do this...clutch fork question
If the car is sitting in neutral should I be able to push the clutch fork with my hand to the right so it's pushing the shaft into the slave cylinder which means it's taking pressure off the pressure plate? I would think the hydraulic system wouldn't allow this..where is the fluid going if I can push the shaft in?

All that you are doing is creating extra pressure on the pedal. Usually there is a bit of tolerance, although if you ram the cylinder in too far you can cause some seal damage.
Why are you doing this anyway? Are you having problems with your clutch?

you're just pushing fluid back up into the reservoir.
as said above, you can damage the seal if there's dirt or debris on the normally unused portion of the shaft that you're now pushing into the seals.
why are you doing this?
