Default Short Shifter Question?

i have a ls vtec sitting around, because the tranny is broke, and it has a short shifter on it. I was wondering if i could unbolt that shifter and bolt it on my d16y6 shift linkage.
Thanks for the help.

I have used swaped over parts from almost every civic that I have owned and never had a problem swapping over the short shifter

A b-series shifter will work fine on a d-series linkage.

my skunk2 is from a "gsr"

I've always heard the ITR OEM shifter needs a little modification, but as far as aftermarket shifters, my understanding was that b/d shifters are the same.
