Short shifter install help
Hi.
I'm looking someone who can help me to install B&M short shifter in Chicago area.
I'll pay your time, and will go to your place since I'm really new to automobile area and don't have tools
Please let me know.
Thanks.

Re: Short shifter install help (Jjinta)
Dude, I think all you need is a 10mm socket... Lol, just go ask your neighbors. It really takes 15 minutes to install, maybe 45 if you've never done it before. First thing I did to my car was that, with no knowledge. Didn't even look at a honda manual.
Just try it man, you wont hurt anything.
Take apart your center console then put your car on jack stands and start to disassemble the shift linkage.

Re: Short shifter install help (gsr x civic)
You can do it yourself. If you can change your oil, you can do this. Just take one look at the shifter linkage and you will see how easy and self-explanatory the install is.
Also, there are good write-up's in the index at the top.

You need more than a 10mm socket. You'll also need a 12mm socket and 12mm open/closed wrench for the shift linkage/stabilizer bolts. A 6" extension is great too. Oh, it takes more than 15 minutes...

Re: Short shifter install help (ek forever guy)
Haha, I didn't factor that in... I did it 2 or 3 months ago, if I had gotten past a stubborn bolt I honestly think it would have taken me 20 minutes
