Short Shifter Install??? ASAP
My short shifter actually snapped into two pieces today!! It came installed on the car and I wanted to know how hard it is to install a new one. I have the inteaior all torn apart, do I need to take much apart under the car?? Can you do it from inside the car, through the hole where the shifter comes though?

Will I have to worry about any fluid? Or can I just take apart that stuff under the car and it wil just have a bolt through the bottom the shifter and more linkage?

Have you ever been under your car? Have you ever seen shifter linkage before? I suggest you:
A. Buy a Helms and LEARN it.
B. Go under your car and check how **** works.
C. Search before you ask quetions on this board.
D. Read the instructions. If there isn't instructions, call the company.
E. Learn your car.
F. Learn your car.
G. Learn your car.

Those are great write ups!
I wish I would have read them back in the day when I did my first ss install...
Really though, it's not that hard, just read the how-to a few times and then go out and try it...

I can see that happening if the threads get galled up, but just from use. You have to be hammering on the shifter, or it was just improperly made.
