Re: (Infinity_Racer)
I gotta DC, I like it but can't say how it is compared to others because I haven't used any other ones. Since we're on the subject of short shifters, do they **** up the tranny?

I had the Edelbrock one....if you like that one, go for the hard anodized one...it doesn't scratch! It has a double bend that skunk copied!
No, short shifters don't **** up trannies....bad drivers do!
Only issues to worry about is the counterweight of the shift rod rubbing the stock exhaust. Usually just some adjustment on the exhaust hangers cures it.

alright....if your racing (any type) get a short shifter, if your not dont waste your money....short shifters are made for quiker shifting and can improve race times...and no they dont suck...they are worth every penny

Re: (mysideperformance)
short shifters are for FEEL and that's it... they don't magically increase the time it takes to engage gears...
If you pull too fast on the stock shifter you can shift the car TOO quick... much less with a short shifter...
They are for the tighter feel and shorter through that is IT...
If you are slamming your gears with a short shifter you're doing nothing but damage... hopefully the shifter will break before the tranny.

Re: short shifter? (icantthinkofaname)
I've had the Neuspeed on my CRX for 4 yrs. and loved every minute of it-I went with Neuspeed b/c it comes with stiffer bushings which I think helps the feel even more.

I got my shifter before the bushings and I have to say the bushings didn't do squat... I had the shifter in with stock bushings for a week or so then swapped the bushings and it felt IDENTICAL...

Re: short shifter? (NonovUrbizniz)
i put some engergy suspension shift bushings on my car with a short shifter and i could feel a world of difference. Shifting was much stiffer and not so sloppy. I would highly recommend those bushings.
