Short ram?
A lot of people have said to go with an ebay short ram, with K+N filter (vs going with CAI= can lead to hydrolock etc)
http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAP...&rd=1
Question is: Is there anything else I might need to install this not included in the pic? (Hardware that is)
Thanks..

waste of money. CAI is the way to go because of the sole purpose of colder air. I opted for stock air box for now, but I did have a CAI for quiet some time. You will only hydrolock if the end is submerged in water. The filter ends up inside the front bumper away from most moisture, so the only way you will hydrolock is if you drive your car into a great deal of water such as a flooded road. Just be smart about it and I think you will be happier with a CAI instead of a short ram. This is just my experience, no offense to anyone that disagrees about the hydrolock.

it depends really. i seen dynoes in person cai vs short and the power diference is next to none. keep in mind that under reg. driving conditions a shorty will be sucking hot *** air which have less o2 mol. but this is getting off subject do what you wish just be smart

you seem to have everything there...all you're paying for really is the filter, you could potentially save yourself some money and just go with the generic ebay intakes for like 10$ and get a CAI too for like another 10$ hahahaha....
Good Luck with that

I agree; get a CAI. I've driven with mine many times in "monsoon-like" conditions, and my engine is fine. Just don't be an idiot, and you'll be fine.

CAI has benefits. the short ram will flow better, but be sucking hot, less dense air.
i'd go with the CAI. if you are REALLY worried about water (if you live somewhere that floods a lot), then put the short ram on during the rain season.
i've never heard of anyone hydrolocking due to a CAI unless they drove, full-speed, through a deep, deep puddle. i suppose it's possible at night.
