Shifting Problems

1st - When I first start up the car, I'll have to push the clutch in all the way for it to even engage. After I drive for a bit, it engages at the normal place (I don't know what else you would call it), right about halfway or so pushed in.

2nd - When I shift into reverse, I sometimes get a slight grinding, even though it shouldnt be. This just happens once in awhile...

Anyone know what's going on or can give me any advice? Thanks.

Ur first problem used to happen when my clutch started to get messed up. Once I changed it it went away.

2nd happens from time to time but a mechanic said it was normal.

#1 = leaky slave or clutch cylinder. OR the fact that the brake fluid in the clutch system has NEVER been changed.
