shifter linkage issues

Default shifter linkage issues

my shifter is really sloppy and i found it to be the riviots on the joint ( what ever its called) by were it hooks to the tranny to be very sloppy is the d series and b series the same i have a 2000 civic ex with a si b16 engine and b16 tranny or is there a way to fix the worn out joint

I believe there are bushing kits available for the joint, and no, B-Series and D-Series are different.

I had the same problem on my 2000 EM1. The bushing connected to the tranny was absolutely destroyed causing some pretty big movements during shifting. I replaced the bushings and it fixed the problem completely. My lower torque mounts and motor mounts were bad as well... you may want to check all of them out. I haven't replaced the motor mounts yet but the torque mounts really made another huge difference when I changed them.
