Shift rod Spring Pin
I got a 95 civic and i can't get the pin out of the shift rod, so that i can get the engine/tranny out. Got any ideas. I have been pounding on it with a screwdriver and hammer and that is not working to well. Thanks for any help.

Re: Shift rod Spring Pin (95c1v1cs1)
use a 10mm bolt or a flat head punch of the same diameter. a screwdriver will not work because as you hammer it just expands the pin. also you can put some liquid wrench to help ease it out.

once you find the right size pin to pound it out with you will be all set.
give yourself plenty of room also, you need to swing that hammer nice and hard to get that b*tch pin out. I hated removing that thing... good luck
