ok heres the problem. I have a 94 honda del sol vtec which orginally came with a b16 in it. Now i blew the motor in it and the b16 is no longer good, so i swapped in a d16z6. everything is in and bolted up plugged and ready to go but one thing, the shift linkage. i got a shift linkage with d16z6 swap which is supposidly a d series shift linkage. But the problem is that, that shift linkage is to short and will not go into the cabin area to bolt up. it is a 2 3 inches to short. I tried mocking up the b16 shiftlinkage and that is way to long. I dont no if the vtec model has anything to do with it?

so basically my question is shouldnt the d series shift linkage bolt right up no problem? or since its the b16 model its diff. but i thought that they are interchangeable.

i think the del sol had its own speical shift linkage.. not 100% positive..
you could go to like slhondaparts.com and compare the part numbers..
Your vehicle -> shift linkage vs like 95 Civic EX shift linkage..

thanks yup the linkage on a 95 civic is about 2 inches shorter then a del sol linkage. for some reason the del sol linkage is alil longer then a civics. thanks geebs
