Shift linkage hitting exhaust
I have a 94 Civic DX with a B20B on a GSR tranny it. I'm using the GSR linkgae on it and it looks huge. I just installed my new RS*R GTII exhaust today and it hits the exhaust, I can't even get it into 5th or Reverse. It the LS linkage thinner or have different bends? The GSR linkage is obviously in the way...what to do? I had a 95 coupe with a B18B in it and the exhaust never hit...should I use the LS linkage?

Re: Shift linkage hitting exhaust (PandaHatch)
you might want to get longer hangers welded onto ur new exhaust, or get longer rubber hangers. my exhaust barely clears my shifter. on rough roads, i can feel my exahust thru my shifter im thinking its b/c i have a short shifter

Yea, it's just pissing me off. I'm going to put some longer hangers on it and try that, The GSR linkage is REALLY big though. I'm trying to find someone around here to trade linkages with.

Re: (PandaHatch)
or you can try takin it to a muffler shop and have them extend your hanger right by the shifter they just heat it up and stretch it out of the way. thats what i did i have a short shifter and could barely get it in gear cuz of it but now no hitting not even on rough roads
