Default shift/clutch/tranny problem

I have a 93 ex with stock z6 but the shift is terrible it will grind going in to fourth alot mainly when down shifting i can go from 5th to 3rd better then 5th to 4th and the clutch feels a little soft I've driven other similar hondas and the shifts seemed a lot smoother. Is this a tranny or clutch problem if i bleed my clutch will that make any difference please any help would be great.

i would bleed the clutch first however a lot of members here have had good li=uck with gm syncromesh.

and in responce to below, (i can't make anymore then 5 posts) since most people don't feel like replacing their transmission unessarily try new fluid first

my bud has the same set up and he had the same problem. he just changed out the tranny cause it was grinding and slipping. since then he "claims" it slips but its just cause he sucks at racing. but try bleeding it first then i would cut the hasle and swap it out then you could always sell or do something with the old tranny.
