Re: shift boot (civicboy95)
yeah I put an aftermarket shift boot on my car. you have to take out the metal square thing on the console, however be VERY CAREFUL, as the metal piece is extremely sharp, and I cut my thumb open on it
Man, did that suck!

Re: shift boot (civicboy95)
There is a metal bracket that has teeth on it that holds the shift-boot on. It attaches to the center console. You will have to take your stock shift-boot off of the metal bracket and thread the ITR boot on to it. Just take your stock boot off and you will see what everyone is talking about. It's not hard to do at all.

Re: shift boot (civicboy95)
The ITR boot should fit just fine. I know it works on 96 - 00 Civics so I would assume it would work on 92 - 95 Civics as well.
You have to release the shift **** from the shift boot. The shift **** should just unscrew to seperate from the boot. Your shift **** is different from mine because I have an Si. Once you've got the boot loosened you will have to take the center console off. Then you should be able to slide the metal bracket and shift boot out. Once you've got the shift boot off you can replace the ITR boot onto the bracket. Then you just slide the boot back on to the console and that should be it.
But you do realize that the ITR boot does not connect to the shift ****. It just sits there so that the stem shows, so you will probably want to get a better looking shift ****.
