Shaving Question
No one in the appearnce section was applying so I'll post this here:
Not so much shaving as peeling I suppose(and I searched flamers). I have the Sticker-Type "Civic" and "Ex" on the back of my car, will a blow dryer work to heat em up and peel, would a propane torch be too much if I held it far away? Also I want to get rid of my horrid white pinstripe on the side of the car. Same method? Any suggestion would be great.

Re: Shaving Question (Subtle)
all you need is a blow dryer.. i would not suggest using a blow torch as it might f up the paint as well..
as for the pin strips you can try a few things.. i took mine off a week after i bought my car and likes it much better.. try just pelling them off w/ your nails, a pencil eraser and rubbing them off, and also a little heat will help a bit like a blow dryer.. it will take time some time and elbow grease but it will come off.. also it will leave a little mark on parts of it im sure like it did mine and my room mates just use some wax and buff it off.. maybe take a few times for it to look good perfect..

Re: Shaving Question (Subtle)
I used a razor blade to carefully get under the decals and peel them off. Getting the adhesive left behind on the paint was the next step. I used a good bug and tar remover (use one that has a citrus base - smells like oranges) sprayed it on, let sit for awhile, and rub it off with a clean terry cloth. Wax the area when done.
There is a 3M adhesive and trim remover that works great for this, also good if someone hits your car with spraypaint. Don't ask, I'm still pissed.

Re: Shaving Question
Don't use a razor. your paint isnt cheap.
i've heard of people using string lie said above
or also something called piano wire or something haven't heard much on that though.
if it's metal it's bad it'll hurt the paint.

Re: Shaving Question
WTF?! Blow torch?! There is a medium between a blow torch and a hair dryer called a heat gun lol.
If the blowdryer doesn't work make the step up to a heat gun, available at most retail stores and auto parts stores, as well as hardware stores. Just hold it a ways off first as they get really hot *not as hot as a blowtorch* but will mess up your paint if you hold it on the same spot really close for a long time. Heat gun, no razor, and maybe a plastic spoon to do some light scraping. Then when your done use goo-b-gone or something to get the excess adhesive off, wetsand with like 2000 then polish.
If you decide to use blow-torch. Post pictures of the aftermath.

Re: Shaving Question
3m makes a magic eraser for the pin stripes, it goes on a drill and looks like a giant pencil eraser... Also to get the sticker off just peel them off and use that same 3m eraser to take off the leftover adhesive... I've done many emblem and sticker removals with it

Lol I didn't notice the date...just saw the obscenity of it and felt inclined to respond...didn't know about the erasers though so I learned something new.
