Default Shaking at 60

I just bought a 94 civic hatchback just my luck it came with the front springs cut to ****.. like i literally had to put rubber spacers in the springs just so the tires dont rub.. the car runs fine the only probably is when i reach 60 mph the cars shakes really bad no im thinking its the shitty suspension with well basically no travel at all since i bottom out on everything but i was wondering if it could possibly be something else im not really sure to look for so can someone please fill me in thank you....

You need an alignment.

There could be alot of things at work here. I would fix the suspension first before tracking down issues. You can feel alot of shake and bounce with a very stiff suspension, and when you have to put spacers in to counteract rub, it could make it worse.

Sounds like the wheels are out of Balance. Getting them balanced is cheap, and takes no time at all.

Get all the wheels balanced! I thought the worse also but this was it. Then you might want an alignment. Trust me do these and get those out the way. Let us know what happens.

if its not the wheels, it could be the tie rod balljoint. you can usually check it by jacking the front wheels in the air and trying to tilt them with your hands, if it feels like somthings loose, thats probably it.

Your rotors are warped! Better go get some new discs because sooner or later you wont be able to brake. Happened to me on the highway and drove car home like so. Replaced rotors half hour after and shaking under braking left.

front end vibration can be front end parts( balljoints, tie rods etc.) wheels bent or out of balance or in need of hub centric rings if aftermarket wheels are on your car. you need to get those spacers off your car. fix the suspension problems. and dont bother with an alignment if the tires are almost worn. if you have half tread left and they are worn evenly across then go ahead and have it aligned.

yeah but he said that the car shakes when he's hitting speed, not slowing down...but yeah i know what your saying, my car shook like crazy, i bought new rotors thinking they were warped, and when i got them replaced lol, they just had to be cut...but yeah...check that too, if it shakes when you break..
