Default Setting up climate with dash conversion

In THIS thread, this guy swapped in an si dash into an eg and claimed that the a/c worked, but he seem to ignore a few questions in the thread. basically I want to know, how he could have made the si electical climate control work with the eg's cable operated system.?

He would have had to change out all the boxes under the dash, the heatercore box, the AC box, the blower box. The vent outlets on the boxes of an EG will not line up with the inner dash vent tubes on an EK dash.

I remember responding to that guys thread, and you're right, he didn't answer alot of questions.

I'm guessing that either his setup doesn't work, or he left out a lot of steps involved in making that work.

Here is an EG or Integra heater core box(hence why integra dashes are easy to put into EG's, the boxes are the same):

Here is an EK heater core box:

Notice, they look nothing alike, if he did use the EG boxes like he said he did, he would have had to cut up that heater *** box for the vent tubes to line up.

if i remmeber right, that is actually an integra heater core, a civic one is a little different on the top..

Here is an EK heater core box:

that is definatly an ek one..

the lower part of the heater core is the same w/ the integra and 92-95 civic.. for the best fitment you need to get a whole integra heater core or swap out the top part w/ the integra one so all the vents work..

as for making a 99-00 heater core and a/c system work, you would need to use the parts that you see behind the dash from a 99-00 civic.. ive never done but it can imagine that honda didnt change those parts that much from year to year to save money on r&d..

owell, im at work so its time to go get some lunch now..
