Default Serious Mystery (tranny related)

Ok ill try to make this short...

i have a 97 ex civic coupe, my stock motor took a dump so i bought a wrecked 4D coupe also ex and swapped the motor and tranny, straight over swap

everything went well and the motor fired right up... here's the mystery

I drove the car about half a block down the road and it made this quite little noise nothing serious sounding, and now it just feels like it is in neutral...

I drove the 4D before the swap and the clutch grabbed hard. All the gears feel like they go in fine, and when you put it into fourth, the speedo even moves a little.

the axles are not moving at all but spin freely, no gears grind or feel wierd when engaged... help please im pretty stuck..

thanks

Sonny

double check your axles. it sounds like they are not in all the way. you couldve had it in just enough to grab the spline but not actually locked in. then drove it and it worked itself back out.

well to be more specific i meant all the way in the trans. i made this mistake once or twice. flat-bedded my car home and found out it was a quick 10 min fix. theyre a pain in the *** to get in all they way. and if you havent put an axle in before it easy to mis-judge weather its in all the way or not. anyway i hope this is your problem cause its an easy and most of all free fix. g/l.
