Sensor question
Recently replaced the O2 sensor and additional sensor in my 96 civic. My mechanic says my car will not pass inspection until the monitors reset in the car. He insists I have to drive the car for this to occur, but I have already driven it 400 miles and the monitors have not reset themselves. What do I do next? My check engine light is not on, do you think I have to have the computer flashed?

Re: Sensor question (vizionqwest)
what do you mean by monitors? its true that you have to drive approx. 100 miles after you reset the ecu then youll be fine to smog the car. make sure that the car is completely warmed up before you take it in for a smog check. in other words, take it for a 15 min drive before you take it in so that the cat will be hot enough to burn off most of the contaniments.
