Default sensor problem/motor cuts

I have a 92 cx hatch with a b16a2. I am really having some problems getting my speedo to work. I changed the speed sensor itself, instrument cluster, and wiring harness. I can not get the speed sensor to work. I also checked all of the fuses and related wires for example the ground wires. The real problem is if i am at a constant rate of speed and I try to accelerate my car comes to a complete hault( w/out shutting off) almost like a 1000 rpm fuel cut. If i slow down a tad a rev it up it sounds like it is almost cleared up and lets me go a very short distance before doing it again. The real funny thing is I was doing my search t diagnose the problem and I read something about some guy who said "Dis-connect your tps and your car will drive fine" so me being desperate said all hell screw it and did it. Then my car doesnt hesitate at all but I know it is not good to drive like this. I just want to know if the speedo and tps somehow are connected iin some sort of evil way besides the obvious one.
