Selling my EG, got a few qs
I'm selling my 92 Si hatch. Right now it has a Focuz muffler, an AEM short ram intake, and it is dropped on some generic cut springs. The struts are busted, they are leaking juice, so the car is basically riding on the springs itself. I do not drive this car, and I haven't since I bought it which was six months ago.
So, what I want to know is how much should I sell this car for?
I was planning on doing these things before selling it.
Wait, let me give you a description of the car as well.
There are a few blemishes such as, oxidation on the roof, a long scratch on the hood, cracking paint on the rear bumper, and like I said, the struts are busted.
I was planning on doing these things:
Raise the car back to stock. A friend of mine is gonna give me used KYB struts for the front and stock struts in the rear all on top stock springs.
I was going to take off the muffler and put the stock muffler back on since it is only a muffler that was changed, no piping.
I was going to take the AEM intake off and put on the stock air box and hose.
This way the car will be back to stock everything.
Also, take into consideration where I'm from, Honolulu, Hawaii.
Sis are SCARCE to say the least, and a really really hard find here. You all know about supply and demand, right?
Now, I have my car up on a local car forum and I was asking $6,000.00 how it is right now.
Maybe once every couple of months a Si will come up in the newspaper... the usual price I see it at is roughly $4,900.00 to $7,500.00.
Now, those people who are selling their cars are not enthusiasts like I and you are. They don't know that these cars hold a greater value among people like us.
So, how much do you honestly think I should sell my car for?
I already dropped it down to $5,000.00 how it is.
But, I do plan to make it back to stock if I can't get any buyers, and then put it in as much publications as possible.
Let me know what you think.

here on the mainland you wouldn't get nearly that much for it so if you can sell it for 5+ I would say your making out like a bandit.

Really, so how much is a good asking price?
I never said your money was different from mine.
I just said that in Hawaii, we can't just drive to another state to pick up a car, therefore the supply and demand factor is just a tad bit greater here.

hmm, depending on condition maybe 2500-3500 for someone who's honda knowledgable....
and 3500-6000 for the local stunna
keep in mind you're trying to sell it to the local stunna...
