Sedan Theft?

Re: Sedan Theft? (RNbuilt)
Stock sedan? I highly doubt it. They're a dime a dozen on the streets, and there is nothing special about them in stock trim, except maybe the fuel economy.
But if it's modded out, then you're a target for thieves no matter what you're driving. Remember, most suspension upgrades, wheels, or any mods under the hood (assuming you keep the stock engine) can be interchanged on other coupes, hatches, or sedans.
If you wanna be safe, hide your valuables, hide your faceplate (if you have a deck), get a security system, throw in a few kill switches.. like for your ignition or fuel pump, etc.
Its impossible to stay 100% safe, but you can definately minimize your chances of being jacked. Also, dont drive like an *** around public areas. That'll get you noticed in no time.

Re: Sedan Theft? (RNbuilt)
its an older civic.. if its there someone will want to steal something from it sooner or later. even tho it might not be a popular body style its never really "safe" do you think a theif goes to the auto parts store when his car needs parts ?

When I see this question I have to ask why it matters.
I wouldn't suggest less security because it's a sedan. I wouldn't suggest buying a sedan in the hopes it would be less likely to be stolen.
You might as well back up your security like any other body style. They're all just as easy to steal and it's getting more common to see sedans modified in similar ways to coupes and sedans.

Definitely get a good alarm(Preferably stealth installed) with numerous kill switches and be careful. I'd go see the guys in the audio/security section. They have great walkthroughs that helped me when I installed my stealth alarm a lot.

What he said...
I got mine installed by a pro...the siren...the brain..interior siren....and the back up battery are all very well hidden. Even if you got on the floor you could not get to them. But again most thieves will see the LED light and just move on to something else.
