Re: security for the rear hatch and window (Chillin94hatch)
why not just put a pinswitch like they use on the hood, trunk, etc of most cars?should be easy to make a bracket to hold it on the C-pillar.
another option i've been looking at-using the fuel door/trunk release lever setup from a coupe/sedan.they have the option to lock it with the key so that the lever doesn't work.only problem is it would be keyed to whatever car it came out of.don't know if it'd be possible to get it changed to use your stock key or not.you can only unlock it at the keyhole on the hatch.you could also just unhook the cable from the lever.with either of these they'd have to actually break the hatch glass to get in there, and even if they did that they couldn't open the tailgate because the window fram would still be latched to it.small inconvenience in exchange for a pretty big step in security.

I've got a motion sensor and if you mess with the hatch it goes off as well. A pinswtich would work too.
