Second O2 sensor code and Speednometer Fuse, Linked?
Ok. So while I'm headed to the garage to replace my muffler, the floormat cought the gas. So as to not rearend the car infront of my I put her in neutral. This caused the revs to be bouncing off the rev limiter. I also believe this is what intially blew the fuse for the speedo.
While replacing the rusted on exhaust, I resorted to torching the bolts holding the pipe up to the cat. In the process, the wires melted for the o2 sensor. Throwing the o2 sensor code once the new exhaust was on, I replaced it was a borsch universal o2 sensor. This fixed the code, and with the replacment of a fuse my speedo was once again working.
Couple weeks later I'm pulling into the parking lot when I notice I once again have no speednometer. Couple seconds later my check engine light comes on. I replace the blown fuse...again, and use a code reader to discover it's the o2 sensor. I clear the code, and all is good for about 4 days.
Today, I blew the fuse yet again for the speedo. And, like last time, my check engine light came on a couple seconds later. So, are these two related? In any way could the alternator spike, causing the fuse to blow. When the fuse blows, the engine idles weird, and the headlights dim and such. When this happens, does the senstivity of the o2 sensor cause it to think something's wrong, so it throws the code?
What would be causing my fuse to keep blowing?

What year of Civic do you have? The 96-2000's have a problem with the wiring underneath the intake manifold. The wiring is rubbing on the brace for the intake. When it starts shorting on the bracket, you will get failling speedos, O2 sensor codes, and blown fuses.

Also, I've noticed my alternator isn't always producing power. I'll be running at about 3000 Rpms and my voltage will be 12.5. Which is what the battery produces. It should be at 14V or so. Could this be it?
