i know most people end up trading their seats for Del Sol seats, but i was wondering if anyone had gone from a Del Sol seat to a different one?? I am considering possibly Type-R seats or the new Si seats..... any opinions??

sorry for the dumb question, just thought someone else might have done a conversion even though it isn't that common.

What you get give me your old seats! I got first dibs! I'd go for the type-r seats. The new si's don't look more supportive if not less than your delsol seats.

si seats, i got some ... but seriously i would just get a sparco, the kid i bought my sol seats from got some and they looked killer in there

a lot of it depends on your size for what you will want to switch to. I have a 97 Coupe and got del sol seats...only to find out i was to small and they didn't hold me enough. (I'm 5'7" 145 lbs) So i sold those for some Corbeau CR1's...they fit me really good and will probably fit someone up to about 160-170 lbs.

It also depends on what you want to use them for and how much money you have to spend.

IF, i had a Del Sol, i would stay w/ the stock seats..they are nice already.

i like the sol seats fine, but i hear that if you put sparcos or other seats in, you sit about 2 inche higher. i dont know if this is true but either way, as low as it is, its comfortable. sitting higher though, woul dbe nice as well. whatever floats your boat. go to a local tuner and sit in some seats. test sit and then decide . got any friends with gsr or si's?

i just took my del sol seats out of my EK last night and installed the Corbeau CR1's...you do sit a little higher with the CR1's...but the support you get it worth it in my opinion.

Prelude seats are cool too, they sit really low and have good support.

I tried some Prelude SH seats in my del sol and I had to remove my top to be able fit in the car, I'm only 6'0. So I just had my stock Del Sol seats wrapped in black leather with red stitching (type r wannabe).

I tried putting some GSR seats in my gf's del sol. They sat way higher than the stock seats. It was kind of weird. Head hitting the roof and all. I guess when you pop the top off its all good though .

We ended up getting her stock seats re-upholstered. They also adding padding the side bolsters for the race effect. They came out very good.

if you raelly want aftermarket seats (something besides stock honda) you can make custom rails that make the seats lower like the del sol seats are. i wish i had the pics that a friend had when he made his custom rails.
