what do you need to know, it's pretty easy. The color that imo looks best is graphite gray found at any auto parts. Heat the headlights in the oven 200 degrees for 8 minutes, take out use screw drivers and pry headlights apart, remove outer reflector, sand down, paint, reassemble, seal. that's it

please don't think i'm being a dick, but i think those intructions in the thread posted above are quite adequete. just go for it. if you're too nervous, buy a backup set of lamps or just fork out the dough for the real ones.

come on bro, it's a piece of cake. Just do what the instructions say. And since I'm feelin nice I did do a SEARCH and found one more thread for you.

If you don't understand what to do from these 2 threads, then I don't think you should be trying this.

This is what I did, sorry I dont have any pictures because I dont have a digital camera.

Here is what you need
1. a heat gun (I used this instead of an oven, the choice is yours)
2. some kind of silicone sealant. ( I recomend aircraft silicone)
3. paint, what ever color you want to paint them, if you want gun metal like the ctr use duplacolor gunmetal, you can pick this up at walmart. If you want black/blue/whatever, I recomend duplacolor, it sprays so nice and it comes out super clean.
4. a screw driver, flat head and a phillips.

Here is what you do
1. Take the bulbs out, then heat up the silicone on the headlights with either the heat gun or the oven. (if you use the oven then follow the instructions for that)
2. once the silicone is heated up use the flat head screw driver and start prying the head lights apart, shouldnt take too long and dont be afraid to use some force, it is really hard to mess them up.
4. once you have the headlights apart use the phillips screw driver to take the interior part of the headlights apart. (once apart you will see what I am talking about)
5. take the reflector out of the headlight assembly,
6. I didnt sand the chrome part, you really dont have to, it will look smoother if you dont sand it, the duplacolor will cover up the chrome great with 2-3 coats.
7. I take it you have spray painted before, if not take a few minutes to shake up the can and take some practice sprays so you will be comfortable with how even the can sprays.
8. spray the part that you want to paint on the headlight assembly, since you have taken them apart you will have the part with the bulb seperate from the rest of the headlight.
9. Use masking tape for the parts that you may not want to paint, i painted everything.
10. allow time to dry, 30minutes-1hr
11. once dry put the headlights back together making sure you put the reflector back in.
12. seal them back up with the silicone that you bought.
13. let that sit for awhile before you put them back in your car, if you are doing them tonight they should be ready to go back into your late tonight or tomorrow.

That should be it, good luck.

if i was in town i would do it for you, but i'm at school (college station). It's not hard man, just try it, and if you think there isn't a good enough thread on it, then here is your chance to contribute to the honda-tech community good luck
