How has this Seafoam fuel injector cleaning product worked for you? How much improvement have you seen?

Some people would recommend using it, but I wouldn't. I'd rather buy new injectors or get the old ones taken out and clean them out, replace seals, etc... instead of using Seafoam.

If your main goal is to thoroughly clean your injectors, I would do as ke98248 suggested and send the injectors out for professional cleaning. It doesn't take long and isn't very expensive.

It works well on cleaning carbon etc and valves when it run it into a vacuum line and let it sit. and using in the oil works well on lifters etc. I always put the remainder in the tank just for good measure, But I love the stuff and it does wonders

x2.... Seafoam works GREAT.... I've done it numerous times "usually right before oil change because they say when doing the process using ur brake vacuum line, that you should change ur oil afterwards"... And i've DEFINITELY been able to notice a difference everytime I do it.. Car always seems to run a lot smoother after I seafoam.... I'd say do it, not recommending that ur injectors are still perfect but hey at least you could try it out first, if not satisfied, big deal ur out 5 bucks and ur injectors are as clean as they're gonna get without sending them out lol....

SOHC's reap the benefits more noticeably, the non VTEC d15b will love a 1/2 a can through the vacuume lines.

I just Seafoamed my b16a sir2 today and the gain is noticeable, especially in the lower rpms.

Higher mileage engines will gain back noticeable power

I run a few cap fulls each time; throughout the course of the day so the engine experiences the carbon cleaning at different ambient temperatures. Make sure to Seafoam with a warm engine, this works best.

I wouldn't recommend running Seafoam in the fuel, as over time it will gunk up your spark plugs and cause bridging or depleting spark duration and the power expected with after market ignitions.

Replace or professionally service the injectors, and keep away from other fuel/oil additives

Seafoam will let you know what seals to replace and sealing gasses is what engines are all about. I will continue to stand by Seafoam as it is one of few products like this that work well.

I assisted a mechanic at his shop, and we had a 4.0 Jeep Cherokee that would feel like it would miss under acceleration and everyonce in a while too. It was weird. Did a tune up as it needed it bad anyways... changed a few parts... slightly better but got nothing... A long story short, 2 cans of seafoam thru the vaccum lines and runnin like a champ! And it will smoke everything out! Like said above!

I'd just seafoamed my 95eg and 93eg a couple days ago all I can say is lot of smoke around... is worked wonder....

Actually, it DOES take long because this isn't an available service in MANY places. If you have your injectors professionally cleaned, chances are you are going to have to ship them somewhere. And this is going to leave you without the use of your car for probably AT LEAST a week. And VERY likely longer than that. For this reason, I would try using a product like Seafoan or Techron first to see what they can accomplish. Then try sending them off somewhere to be cleaned.

One more thing. Running Seafoam through a vacuum line is going to do NOTHING to clean your injectors. In order to clean injectors, it MUST be mixed with your gas.

As far as the CAT... I have no idea, never heard that.
As far as using it in the gas tank... never tried either, but i have only heard good

Long story short (of course as long as it doesnt hurt the CAT) try it before sending out the injectors. I mean its not expensive for a can. Right? Just my opinion.

a friend of mine used the whole seafoam engine cleaner kit. This was on his 240sx around the time when he got it. I think it's coming up on 180k miles and his stock single cam ka24 will kep up with some higher end cars. I say go for it
