seafoam in my d16z6
 

ok ive been researching this seafoam thing for about an hour now, everyone says just read the instructions and youll be ok,and another thingl i read is that you better change your oil as soon as you can...well im wondering why this is becuase it doesnt say so on the instructions, and also can i just put in in my brake booster and gas tank becuase i just changed my oil like 500 miles ago, and i dont wanna chagne my oil again because i use mobil 1 10w-30 and its 5 bucks a quart, not to mention the x2 oil filter is 10 bucks, so any help is appreciated

1/3 brake booster, 1/3 crank case, and 1/3 gas tank.

or you can do 2/3 crank and 1/3 brake booster.

no matter what way you chose on doing it, you're still going to want to change your oil. seafoam will thin out your oil.

i did 1/2 in brake booster and 1/2 in gas tank because i used "GUNK" for the crankcase, its made specifically for putting it in the crankcase to clean it out and works great.

a cheaper alternative to seafoam is chemtool. Chemtool esentially does the same thing as seafoam. You can pick it up at Walmart. https://honda-tech.com/forums/images/smilies/emthup.gif

either way, you still had to change your oil. at least you should have.

But only if you put it in the crankcase, which it sounds like he's not going to do. You can add 1/3 to the vac line, and the rest in the gas, and you're oil will be fine. The instructions say you can add the whole bottle to the gas tank if you want; but if you want to do the full treatment, why not wait another couple thousand miles until your next oil change to do it?
