Screwed up my temp gauge????
I had a GSR gauge cluster installed in my VX and I just put the stock cluster back in. When I rewired everything my temp gauge didn't work right - it would go straight up past the Hot level as soon as I turned over the key to power. I thought that it could be my wiring but I checked it against my 93 DX and they are exact. So I took my DX cluster and put it in my VX and it worked fine.
I think what happened is I used a screw driver that was magnetized when I put the screws into the back of the cluster for the temp gauge. Should this cause it to mess up the magnetic field for the gauge? That's the only thing I could think that might have caused it to screw up.
