Default screwed on a cam gear?

i have a JG cam gear. its supposed to be for a d16z6.

I lined it up with my stock cam gear and the teeth seem to line up pretty well. but when i tried to put it on my head the key on the inside of the cam gear is too big to fit on the cam shaft.

Im wondering if the cam gear is for a B series motor? or can the keys be different sizes on D series motors?

help is appreciated

Obviously it should fit if it's made for a D series. I would talk with the guy and get your money back.
