screeching, i know its brakes... need advice
I'm automatic /w ABS btw. When I go in reverse right after I start my car it makes this low squeaking noise and when I start accelerating the noise occurs again, but when I just tap the brake a little it goes away. It only started happening a couple days ago.
How soon should I get the pads replaced before they start hurting the rotors? Is it worth taking it to a shop to get them to machine the rotors too or should I just install the pads myself? Is it worth the extra like 70$ to get the rotors machined?
Any advice is appreciated. Thanks.

First of all, it is easy enough to do it your self. Secondly, if the shop is charging you $70 to machine rotors, then you are getting ripped off. When I did my rear disc swap, Muffler man charged me $30 to do both of the rears.
