Default screech noise when pulling away

ok, most of the time when i pull away from a red light, or sometimes in reverse, there is a screech noise coming from the front right wheel. I checked it out and i saw some new "wear" towards the top of the rotor....my first thought was the brake hardware was rubbing against the rotor. so i took the caliper and pads off and i noticed that the pad that was against the side that was scraping had some wear on the same top half of the pad. why and what could that be? i never had a problem with it before, but i recently changed my wheel bearing and after i put everything together, it started screeching like a day after. are the caliper bolts too tight? does that even make a difference? let me know. oh, 93 hatch
