Scottish guy needs d15b2 help
Hi guys,
Welcome from sunny Scotland. Im not getting much help in british forums over here and heard you guys know your stuff on this site so here i am! Im hoping you can help me.
I have a EDM EG Civic Lsi (d15b2) and the model above my LSi is the EDM EG Civic ESi (d16z6) over here. Im going to do the mini-me conversion on to LSi using the ESi head. I have found loads of info on your site about this sway, thanks, but I was just checking the engines here are the same and the same rules apply even though the models are called different things? (you guys seem to have only got the d15b2 in the 4th gen civic but we got it in the EG too, will they both be the same?). Im also struggling to find out what OBD both these engines are as cant find much EDM information on them. Thanks in advance for any help people can offer me on this swap. Mark

The mini-me process for the Z6 head on the D15b2 should be the same for you.

They're both OBD1 I'm pretty sure.

Welcome. There is no need to refer him to any other site. HT is all that is necessary.
Actually, this thread is all that you need: https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=554053

Thanks for the welcome. The link you showed me is great. Printed off ready to go! I ve just found that im going to have to do a pre OBD0 - OBD1 conversion though which im a bit sketchy on and also Im only DPFI just now and need to change to MPFI so Ill need to find out how to do these extra steps.

Ok Ive managed to get a p28 and the plugs for it. Ive made a converter so it fits where my old ecu was. Only things im getting a bit stuck on now are.
1) Not sure where the blk-ylw wires from the four injectors go, can i join them and ground them? (Do i need a resistor box?)
2) The o2 Sensor, its a one wire currently, do i need to change it to the 4 wire sensor, pretty sure i do.
3) Thermostat, is this easy to hook up?
Cheers guys
