Science behind adjusting KYB AGX shocks ?
I would like to start with a few questions
Now, the AGX's adjust 4 ways in the front. And 8 ways in the back right ?
1 is the softest, 4 is the hardest?? and 1 is the softest, and 8 is the hardest in rear? Is that right ?
So, can you adjust these shocks on the street by just turning that dial thing ?
Also, for GOOD handling, but a GOOD ride, what should they be set at ? Also, how do you know what they are currently at? Is there somewhere where it says ?
If it helps to know what setting for GOOD handling, but GOOD ride, I will be using H&R Sport Springs I plan to drive spiritedly but, i dont want my head smashing the roof on a bump or jerk.

2 in the front, 4 in the back. So just, like around half way stiff on rear and back then eh?
Thanks for the input

Agreed, I like my suspension stiff and responsive, that is why I use the higher settings. Plus I like listening to my girlfriend bitch about the rough ride, ha.

i have mine set to 2 in the front and 4 in the rear...its a smooth ride...u usally stiffen the back for a smoother ride...or else it will be real bouncy if it is less stiff in the back..

I have mine set to 3f/5r, or 2f/4r when somebody starts whining.
Surprisingly it's pretty comfortable on my softer settings, and handles pretty nice on the stiffer settings considering they're only one notch apart so I may have found the sweet spot. I've never turned it to full stiff cause I only have OE ITR springs.

I have mine mated to the Eibach Pro-Kit
I usually have mine set to 3f/4-5r or 4f/6r; it all depends how i feel and who is in the car with me. For longer highway trips i set them to 1f/1r, which is really comfortable on the highway.

Re: (civic duty)
I changed mine all the time when I had them, but I think I kept them around 3/6 for the most part. I kinda liked the stiff ride. It was a little rough but not bouncy with my eibach pro-kit.

Re: Science behind adjusting KYB AGX shocks ? (Si Arn)
i have mine set at 2F/3R. i think it feels really nice for daily driving. i have no complaints here.
my car sits on ground controls and the drop is set so that i have half a finger gap all around (sorry, not too sure what that is inches).

I ran 2F/4R for normal daily driving driving...
Drag racing 1-2F/8R always worked best...
AutoX/road course I ran 3F/7R...
But switched to TEIN flex's and never looked back...

At which one?
2/4??? Yeah it was a nice mix between handeling an comfort...
I still think the TEIN SS's are the way to go though for an affordable good suspension.
You get a good dampner, spring, true coilover system, adjustable dampning, all for alot less then you'd pay to buy everything seperate.
SS's can be had really cheap lately... Alot of people are happily running them on here.
