Default Saggy rear bumper help??

In the attachments, I show my sagging bumper and my trunk not closing all the way. (took the trunk picture offv cause I forgot to cover up my license plate) Can I fix the trunk with new struts or do I need something else? And how do I fix the bumper? Do I just need new clips? I know she's a little dirty but I haven't had time to clean her.

Car looks like its been hit. On the pic of the driver side it looks like the bumper is straight but the bottom of the quarter panel looks like the line is crooked. Was it like this when you got the car?

Agree it looks like it's been hit. Passenger side you can probably tie up with new clips, though. Driver's side will need some straightening.

I've only hit something in the front, busted a turning signal lens, and needing new clips for bumper and fender, or new fender idk. It's been, like this since I got it, unless my dad hit something

Take a look at the passenger side pic. The quarter panel section above the gap is nice and straight. Then look at the driver's side pic. It is very wavy.

Without straightening that quarter at the least, it won't sit flush.

How can I straighten it out? Without causing any damage?

Two options...

- see a body shop about your uneven 1/4 panel
- buy new rear bumper brackets to help hold it tighter to the body

I have the same problem, except my quarter panels are fine. It's just those little plastic clips that are supposed to hold the bumper...are not holding the bumper.

i think this is a very common problem in all covics when i was lookin to buying an em1 all the cars(about 5) all had the same problem and lucky me the em1 i ended up buying came with this same problem

i know it hast been hit in the rear quarter panels and it cant be that all the cars ive seen have been in an accident

but anyways i want to know if buying new clips will hold the bumber closer to the body?

I don't know. I tried removing my bumper and reattaching it but that didn't help a thing. If you do find out how to fix this let me know. Thanks!
