Is it safe to run the p30 on my car?

Default Is it safe to run the p30 on my car?

I just bought a skunk2 chipped p30 ecu from my friend and i have jdm b16a sir2...I was wondering if it is safe to run this on my car... i know they are both obd 1 and it plugged right in no problem....but i am afriad i might blow my motor....thanks

I have the B16A SiR 2...it is not built...I was wondering if I can use it and just not shift at high rpms

If you have a P30 from a '94-'95 del Sol VTEC then it will work fine.

I do believe the p30 only came with b16 engines. As long as its OBD-1 and you don't over rev you can run it. B18c comes with a P72 ECU.

It wouldn't be because only the P72 is set up to run that style of IM.

Your car will prolly run rich and get bad gas mileage because of the Skunk2 chip that you have on your P30. Thats about it, but it won't blow up your engine.

An ECU isnt going to blow up your engine unless the ecu's rev limit is more than the motor(ITR ecu on an LS)
